This exciting opportunity has become available to join Engineering UTC Northern Lincolnshire.
Our UTC opened in September 2015 providing a dynamic education in our two specialism pathways of Engineering and Health Sciences. We work closely with our core partners: Phillips 66, University of Hull, Care Plus Group, Tronox, Orsted, RWE, ORE Catapult, British Steel, Catch and SSE. We also have strong support from Lincoln University, University of Sheffield, NHS, NLAG and RDASH. These partnerships with world-class companies, schools, colleges and universities give our students a unique start to their future careers.
Engineering UTC Northern Lincolnshire is a 13-19 school (PAN 600) situated on Carlton Street in Scunthorpe town centre. Our UTC includes state of the art engineering workshops, CAD Suites, 3D print room, hospital style path lab and ward. We have just received an injection of cash to upgrade our facilities to launch two new T Level pathways in our sixth form provision. We aim to
deliver an outstanding educational experience grounded in real, relevant workplace practice; providing training today for the jobs of tomorrow. Our cutting edge facilities and engagement with employers and university partners provides an exciting environment in which to teach and develop professionally.
Our destinations are testament to our success with students progressing to Universities, securing higher level apprenticeships and employment with companies such as Phillips 66, BP and British Steel.
We are looking to appoint a Deputy Principal who will work with the Principal to provide strategic leadership. The successful candidate will lead the areas of inclusion and safeguarding, including being the UTC’s Designated Safeguarding Lead. You will be a highly skilled practitioner who understands the challenges of educating 13-19 year olds in an employer led, technology rich environment. Effective partnership working is absolutely critical to the UTC’s success. We are looking for engaging and inspirational individuals who are resilient, driven and focused and will help drive a pioneering institution at the heart of Scunthorpe and its communities in the Humber Region.

Lead SEND Practitioner

The Engineering UTC is looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and flexible Lead SEND Practitioner.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of the special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) provision within the UTC. We are seeking a committed individual to provide efficient and proactive support within our SEND provision. Excellent communication and administrative skills are necessary, together with a strong sense of fairness, understanding and commitment.
The UTC is a 13-19 school (PAN 600) in Scunthorpe town centre which is supported by an impressive list of local, regional, national and multi-national companies and by educationalists with a track record of success. Our students follow specialism pathways in either Engineering or Health Sciences. As well
as providing students with high levels of technical skills these specialisms are the inspiration for underpinning learning in the main STEM subjects.

This is a unique opportunity for a Second in Department – Design Technology/Engineering to join a growing UTC.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced teacher, with an excellent knowledge and understanding of Design and Technology and/or Engineering, who wants to further their career. Knowledge of T Levels and/or mechanical/electrical engineering would be advantageous, although is not essential.
You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students, equipping them with the skills and characteristics needed to ensure they are at the front of the queue for the best apprenticeships and university places.

reduction is considered within our policies and procedures. This role is suitable for ECTs currently training, recently qualified ECTs or experienced teachers.
