Exam Invigilator/Reader/Scribe
- Required for: ASAP
- Salary: £12.26 per hour
- Contract type: Casual
- Closing Date: Friday 28th February 2025 – 9.00 pm

We are looking to recruit exam invigilators for our forthcoming exam periods mainly during May and June, although you may be called upon to assist at other times of the year. These appointments are offered on a casual basis, if appointed, you will join a bank of exam invigilators and the hours will be flexible.
This role is essential to the smooth running of the examination process. In addition to ensuring correct exam procedures are followed, the successful applicants will be responsible for the setting out and collecting of exam papers and materials, admitting students to the exam hall/room, invigilating during the exams and collating the exam papers to be sent off to the exam boards. Occasionally invigilators may be called upon to read/scribe for individual students.
Full training will be given to successful applicants.

Apprentice Design Technology Teacher
- Required for: September 2025
- Salary: Unqualified Teacher 1 £21,731 in year one, increasing to Main Teacher Pay Scale upon qualifying £31,650 – £43,607

We have an exciting opportunity within the Engineering UTC Northern Lincolnshire for a full-time Apprentice Teacher of Design Technology.
We welcome applications from graduates who may be thinking about a career change, or those aspiring to get into teaching. You should be knowledgeable about Design Technology or Engineering. Our training programme provides high quality, salaried training leading to Qualified Teacher Status.
If you feel that you have a relevant design technology or engineering background and expertise and are passionate about ensuring the UK’s future engineers are appropriately qualified; we would very much like to hear from you. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students equipping them with the skills and characteristics needed to ensure they are at the front of the queue for the best apprenticeships and university places.
The Engineering UTC is a 13-19 school (PAN 600) in Scunthorpe town centre which is supported by an impressive list of local, regional, national and multi-national companies and by educationalists with a track record of success including; Phillips 66, University of Hull, Care Plus Group, Tronox, Orsted, RWE, ORE Catapult, British Steel, Catch and SSE.
Employer engagement is at the heart of everything we do, with our staff and students working on exciting employer led projects with our core partners. Our industry standard, cutting edge workshop facilities include: Large machining workshop with centre lathes and milling machines, CAD suites and a 3D print room. These facilities help our students to progress on to university or apprenticeships in the engineering industry.
